Why paint correction is done at my Glapwell unit, not on your driveway

I am Joshua. People ask why paint correction cannot be done on the driveway. Short answer: light, dust and time. This post explains what correction is, what I offer at the unit, and how drop-off works from Chesterfield, Sheffield and Bolsover.

What paint correction is

Paint correction removes or reduces swirls, haze and holograms with machine polishing. It is measured work on the clear coat. It is not a quick polish to make the car shiny for a day.

Why it stays at the Glapwell unit

• I need honest light to see defects. Daylight on a driveway changes by the minute and hides swirls.
• Dust and wind on a drive put grit into the polish process.
• If a ceramic coating follows, it needs still air and time to cure.

That is why paint correction, machine polishing, ceramic coating and Winter Protection are Glapwell unit only. Valets still come to you.

What I offer

• Paint Enhancement, from £320: machine polish plus a 1-year ceramic. Not full swirl-deletion.
• Paint correction, quoted from £350: after inspection at Glapwell. Hours depend on the paint.
• Winter Protection, from £380: decontamination, enhancement and a 2-year Labocosmetica ceramic.

If correction would not make a visible difference, I will say so instead of selling it.

How drop-off works

Book a Glapwell unit slot, bring the car to 8 Blacksmiths Close, Glapwell, Chesterfield S44 5NS, and leave access notes if needed. From Chesterfield it is a short drive of around 15 to 20 minutes. From Bolsover around 10 minutes. From Sheffield typically 30 to 45 minutes, longer at rush hour.

Is paint correction mobile?

No. Paint correction, machine polishing, ceramic coating and Winter Protection are done at the Glapwell unit only.

Quoted from £350 after I inspect the car at Glapwell. Hours depend on the paint, so the price can run much higher on badly swirled finishes.

What is Paint Enhancement?

Paint Enhancement is from £320: a machine polish to brighten the paint, plus a 1-year ceramic. It is not a full swirl-deletion.

Why not on my driveway?

Correction needs controlled light and still air so I can see defects properly and so any coating that follows can cure. A driveway cannot give me that.

I live in Sheffield or Chesterfield. Can I still book?

Yes, as a drop-off at 8 Blacksmiths Close, Glapwell. Book a unit slot, leave the car, and collect when it is ready.
