Privacy

This notice is for washyluxe.co.uk and for bookings made with Washy Luxe Limited. It is written in plain UK English for a one-man detailing company, not a privacy theatre document.

Last updated: 21 September 2026.

Who we are

The controller is Washy Luxe Limited, Company No. 17304571, registered in England and Wales. Trading address and correspondence:

8 Blacksmiths Close
Glapwell, Chesterfield S44 5NS
Phone +44 7985 215943
Email Joshua@washyluxe.co.uk

The work is run by Josh. There is no Sheffield HQ and no separate data office. Hours: Mon–Sat 8am–8pm, Sun 9:30am–8pm.

What this site does — and does not — collect

washyluxe.co.uk is a journal and information site. We do not run a booking form, live chat, account login or payment page on this domain. We do not run Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, Hotjar or similar tracking on this site. See Cookies for the honest cookie position.

If you only read the journal, we typically receive the usual technical logs that any hosted website produces (IP address, browser, pages requested, time). Those logs exist so the site can be served and secured. They are not used to build a marketing profile.

Bookings and Detail Pilot

Online booking is handled by Detail Pilot, not by a calendar on this website. The Book buttons on this site open:

https://washy-luxe-limited.detailpilot.com/book?src=website

When you book there, Detail Pilot collects what the diary needs — name, contact details, vehicle, address for a mobile visit, and any notes you add. That information is used to run the job. Detail Pilot’s own privacy terms apply to their platform. We see the booking so we can turn up, quote extras honestly, and invoice the work.

Emails, calls and messages

If you email Joshua@washyluxe.co.uk or call +44 7985 215943, we keep the thread so we can answer you, quote, and remember access notes (gates, pets, a lease-return date). We do not sell that inbox. We do not add you to a newsletter from this site, because this site does not have one.

What we use personal data for

  • To provide a valet or unit job you asked for.
  • To confirm a slot, change a time, or send a quote.
  • To take payment for work done and keep basic accounts records.
  • To deal with a complaint or a guarantee on unit work.
  • To keep the website available and reasonably secure.

Legal bases are the contract to do the job, our legitimate interests in running a small UK company, and (where we must) a legal obligation such as tax records.

How long we keep it

Booking and invoice records are kept for as long as UK accounting and tax rules reasonably require — typically up to six years after the end of the tax year. Informal messages that are no longer needed are not hoarded. Server logs are rotated by the host in the ordinary course of running the site.

Who else sees it

We do not sell personal data. Processors we actually use include the website host, email, and Detail Pilot for the diary. If you book a mobile valet we come to the address you give; we do not publish that address. Paint correction, ceramic coating and Winter Protection are unit-only at Glapwell — drop-off details stay with the booking.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask for a copy of your data, a correction, erasure where the law allows, restriction, or an objection to processing based on legitimate interests. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk). To exercise a right, email Joshua@washyluxe.co.uk from the address we have on the booking if you can.
