The name, the address, the work

Formerly Joshy Washy — same hands, clearer brand. Based at 8 Blacksmiths Close, Glapwell, Chesterfield S44 5NS.

Josh is the diary, the van and the machine. There is no Saturday junior and no call centre. That is slower to book in a busy month and better for the car. Reviews keep mentioning two things: the finish, and the fact he will talk you out of paint correction you do not need.

Two places of work

Everyday valets and interiors are mobile, across Chesterfield, Sheffield, Bolsover, Mansfield, Matlock, Rotherham and the rest of a 35 miles radius. Exterior Safe Wash & Protect from £65, interior deep clean from £120, full valet from £140. You stay at home. The car stays on your driveway.

Paint correction, machine polish, ceramic coating, Winter Protection and headlight restoration need a bay. They happen only at the Glapwell unit. Headlights are £80 for the pair. Paint Enhancement is from £320 and includes a 1-year ceramic. Winter Protection is from £380 with a 2-year Labocosmetica coating. Paint correction is quoted from £350. City customers drop off. That split is not snobbery — coatings fail outdoors, and Josh would rather say no than coat pollen into your bonnet.

Who the cars belong to

Daily drivers from Newbold and Dore. Trade cars from Clowne. The family Audi that has been living with a dog. The BMW that has not been washed properly since it left the dealer. The work is the same standard either way: safe chemistry, no supermarket brushes, and a finish you would let sit on the high street.
