What we bring on a driveway valet

The Transit carries its own water, safe-wash chemistry, interior extraction, glass kit, towels and the products used on the booking card — exterior wash and protect, interior deep clean, or the full valet. You do not need a hose running, a pressure washer or a supermarket foam cannon. We work from the van on a suitable driveway or quiet outdoor space.

Wheels, glass, plastics and cabin surfaces get proper time. It is not a five-minute rinse on the A617. If the interior has mould, heavy pet odour or a lease-return deadline, say so in the notes so the slot is long enough — those are quoted extras, not a surprise add-on at the kerb.

Access notes that actually help

We need to park next to the car and work safely. A private driveway is ideal. A quiet cul-de-sac in Newbold, Walton, Hasland or Brimington is usually fine. Tight city bays, blocked pavements and cars wedged against a hedge make a full valet slower or impossible. Mention gates, gravel, a shared drive, or if the car has to stay on the street.

Keep a spare key in sight if you are working from home. Move bins, bikes and the dog out of the way. If rain is sitting on the forecast we still run exterior work when it is safe; interiors need a dry cabin. We will say if a slot should move rather than rush a wet polish that is not a polish.

Driveway valet versus the Glapwell unit

Mobile work is the clean: exterior from £65, interior from £120, full valet from £140. That happens on your drive across Chesterfield and the 35-mile radius.

Paint polish, ceramic coating and Winter Protection are completed at the Glapwell unit only (8 Blacksmiths Close, Glapwell, Chesterfield, S44 5NS). We do not machine-polish on a driveway and we are not a Sheffield HQ or studio. If you want lasting paint protection later, book a separate unit drop-off.

How booking works

Do I need to supply water or power?

No. The van brings water and kit for a standard Chesterfield driveway valet. A clear, safe place to park next to the car matters more than a tap.
